Jennifer Fils-Aime on Idealism & Action

Ever since she was a young girl, Jennifer Fils-Aimé has wanted to do her part to help people in need. After studying fashion and business in college, Fils- Aimé intended to start an NGO in her hometown of Montreal, but by happenstance ended up establishing her “creative NGO,”Peace for Humanity in Beijing in 2009. We talked to Fils-Aimé about the political and cultural challenges that she has had to navigate in getting her organization off the ground, and about Peace for Humanity’s first major event.
