Joy in Action – Work Camp Coordination Center

Work camps are a form of voluntary community service. Typically, twenty to thirty “campers” live in a village for 1-3 weeks and take part in construction projects such as building toilets, constructing houses, and setting up potable water facilities. By working closely together over the course of a work camp, campers and villagers bridge cultural divides and establish long-lasting and meaningful personal relationships.
